Create / Edit Survey

TO CREATE A NEW SURVEY, FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW:

Start by clicking on “Surveys” in the menu, then click the “Create new Survey” in the side menu. (See create section below)

If you want to add a new question to an existing Survey you navigate to “Surveys”->”Edit” on the Survey you want to edit.

Fill in the name of your Survey (note that the name is not visible to your respondents), then choose your Answering Method according to instructions below:

MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION (ONLY 1 POSSIBLE ANSWER)

”Multiple choice question (1 answer possible)” will give your respondents a set of multiple responses where they can only pick one. Enter your choices in the field “Options (1 per row)”.

If you want the respondents to be able to enter text when using for example the option “Other”, then you can activate 1 choice as a free text by choosing the option in the box below name “Free text”.

MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION (NO ANSWERS OR SEVERAL ANSWERS ALLOWED)

If you want your respondents to be able to answer more than one choice on a question you may use this answering method. By default this answering method lets your respondents skip the question.

If you want to combine options with a field for free text responses you can check the free text field in the lower part of the dialogue box.

If you want to deactivate the ability for your respondents to skip a question of this type, you should click on “Advanced Settings” in the Edit menu and enable the option “No empty answers possible when question is obligated.”

FREE TEXT QUESTION

This answering method gives your respondents the ability to write free text answers.

Please note the information text displayed in this section.

OSGOOD-SCALE (SCALE WITH COUNTER PARTS)

An Osgood-scale is normally used in questions about values and opinions to get an idea from the respondent how they feel about a brand. To use this question you need at least 2 rows on the -/+ fields and choose a scale between 3 and 7.

If you want to create a Survey for questions on how people like their customer care etc, then you can use another option “Gradient scale”. Remember that you should only use Osgood-scale for people who are familiar with answering this kind of questions.

GRADIENT SCALE

Gradient scale lets you to ask questions like ”What do you feel about our…” and combine this question with a scale of gradients where your respondent can grade the different departments in your company. You may of course ask other questions with this answering method.

First chose the right amount of “Scale between counter parts” then enter at least two options in “Options (1 per row)”.

INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions are not a question as such, this answering method displays a block of text where you can inform your respondents. Extremely usable when describing a more complex area in your Survey before the respondent continues.

FREE TEXT QUESTIONS (MULTIPLE ANSWERS ALLOWED)

This answering method helps you to create a set of free text boxes where you can individually make every free text box compulsory to answer or not.
